How the Color Namer works
Any format
Paste a hex code with or without the #, an rgb(), hsl() or cmyk() value, or just the numbers. Commas, spaces, % signs and brackets are all fine. Three numbers are read as RGB, four as CMYK.
The closest name
Your color is compared with every named color by how different the two look to the eye (Delta E in CIE Lab). If it’s a near-perfect match you get its name; otherwise you get the closest one, plus a few runners-up.
Everything else
Each result links to the color’s own page with every code (HEX, RGB, CMYK, HSL, OKLCH), the nearest Pantone, tints and shades, harmonies, and contrast checks.
