WCAG

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, which set minimum color contrast for readable text.

Also called Web Content Accessibility Guidelines

WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) is the international standard for accessible websites. For color, it sets minimum contrast ratios: 4.5:1 for body text (AA) and 7:1 for the stricter AAA level.

It also says color should never be the only way information is shown, which helps people with color vision deficiency.
